In March 2024, Hexcel Corporation in the United States launched a new type of HexTow ® The IM9 product with continuous carbon fiber 24K specification has the following main properties: tensile strength of 6300MPa, tensile modulus of 286GPa, and elongation at break of 1.9%.

In May 2024, Japan's Toray Corporation released the latest version of its carbon fiber product catalog. Compared to the previous August 2021 version, it updated a T720SC carbon fiber product with a bundle size of 36K, tensile strength of 5880MPa, tensile modulus of 265GPa, and elongation at break of 2.2%.


In July 2024, the Zhang Yonggang team of Ningbo Institute of Materials, Chinese Academy of Sciences, ushered in a new breakthrough in the field of high-performance carbon fiber preparation technology. The team's scientific researchers achieved a technological breakthrough in high-strength, high modulus and high elongation carbon fiber with tensile strength of 5520 MPa, tensile modulus of 546 GPa, and elongation at break of 1.01%.


In September 2024, Hexcel announced the launch of its new composite material reinforcement tool, HexForce ® 1K woven fabric. This lightweight fabric uses Hexcel's proprietary HexTow ® AS4C 1K carbon fiber is processed to produce high-strength and lightweight composite materials.
